Bouldin Creek Coffeehouse was born out of both the desire to build community, and to preserve the character of an artsy laidback college town in the midst of growth and development. At first a small menu was provided as a means of bringing people together, but as people relished our unique vegetarian offerings, Bouldin Creek evolved into a full scale vegetarian eatery and reputable coffee bar.

We now provide fairly priced wholesome food and a wide array of tasty beverages, and have shown vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike that veggie fare can be both flavorful and satisfying. Our baristas are well trained and all of our coffee offerings are locally roasted, organic and fair trade. Bouldin is your go-to place if you're looking for quality food coupled with fresh coffee. If coffee is not your bag, we pride ourselves in providing plenty of other drink options (see the Food & Drinks section), including 40 different hot teas. We also serve beer, wine, Sake Screwdrivers, Sake Lemonades and Austin's best hangover cure, "The Leveler" (Guinness, espresso and chocolate). Happy Hour specials run daily from 4-8 pm. We think you'll find that there is something for everyone at Bouldin.
 
We prepare our food from scratch and to order in a kitchen the size of some people's closets. Due to the volume of food orders and our desire to put care into your meal, food wait times may be longer than some would expect. Keep that in mind when planning a trip to Bouldin and note that on weekend brunches most popular restaurants in Austin cannot even offer you a seat without a 30 minute wait.Your dining experience at Bouldin will take the same amount of time or less than a regular restaurant because you will be able to sit at a table - drink in hand - almost right away. The ordering line moves fast and we set out a coffee refill pot for immediate self service. While waiting for your food you can enjoy a variety of free publications and flyers, take a game or book off our shelf, check out the monthly rotating art show, draw or write in the house sketchbook, engage in a potitical debate, purchase a New York Times, enjoy some of Austin's finest people watching, or just relax and soak up the chill atmosphere. Bouldin is also pet friendly and well-behaved, leashed furry friends are welcomed with water bowls and free treats. 
 
Bouldin is a community house designed to reflect all of the things that it's founders love about Austin.  It is a friendly, creative, laidback, open-minded, and conscious space.  Bouldin takes you back to the pre-franchise era when everyone really did know your name. People often tell us that Bouldin feels like a second home. This is the highest compliment we could ever be paid.
